waitngforsunsetatSatNightFreeMovieSeries.jpgThe Saturday Night Free Movie Series, founded in 2005, features music entertainment, short films by local filmmakers and a feature movie on the University of Iowa Pentacrest. SNFMS is presented with financial support from MC Ginsberg and the Downtown Association of Iowa City, in a partnership with The Bijou Theatre. The old screen from the Englert Theater hangs from the historic columns of MacBride Hall providing the perfect outdoor theater in the soft green grass under the shade of the old oak trees.

IMG_00411.jpgEach Saturday starting May 19th and ending on September 15th a family-friendly, feature length film is screened for all to enjoy, free of charge. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the movie! Refreshments are sold by representatives of the Bijou Theatre.
